The College Student's Guide to Identity Theft

College Identity Theft

What college students must know about identity theft and lemon laws for cars: Internet ScamBusters #246

Today we're going to do something a bit different that we believe you'll really like. We have two extra special articles for you today.

First, with so many college students going off to school now, we've created a special report called "The College Student's Guide to Identity Theft: What every college student must know about identity theft."

Although perhaps the last thing on most college students' minds when they think about college is identity theft, in fact, it is a huge problem. We recommend that after you check it out, you send the link to this guide to the college students in your life.

Second, we've posted an fascinating story that shows what car lemon laws will -- and won't -- do for you. Audri did an interview with Bob (a consumer who unfortunately wound up with a lemon car). You'll find out what can happen when you buy a lemon car -- along with tips to protect yourself. (Bob's story is quite amazing.)

The article is called "Lemon Law for Cars: How One Man's Lemon Car Took Him for a Ride."

Again, we recommend you send the link to this article to any of your friends, family or colleagues who are having problems with "lemon" cars.

Since both of these articles are quite comprehensive, we've just included the links to them (rather than the entire text of each article) in this issue. Again, you can find them here:

So, that's all we have for today. We hope you enjoy these two articles. We'll be back next week with another issue. See you then!
